Temporary closure of bridges and diversion Ross-on-Wye
Dyddiad hysbysu:
April 23, 2024
Y Llwybr:
O Fownhope i Rosan ar Wy
Starting 26th April two narrow bridges, either side of the Rowing Club in Ross-on-Wye, will be closed, one after the other, whilst new accessible bridges are installed. Whilst the first bridge is closed (as you leave the Rope Walk to go around the Rowing Club) a short diversion will be via the Homs Road carpark. Later in the week when the second bridge is replaced (upstream of the Rowing Club) the closure will affect the route of the Wye Valley Walk going north, with a longer diversion following the Herefordshire Trail north to Townsend Farm and then along the footpath to rejoin the Wye Valley Walk opposite Backney Common. The work should take 1 week to complete, with the Wye Valley Walk diversion via the Herefordshire Trail being in place for approximately three days.
